love & butter

About

Because food is best when it’s made with a lot of love. But a little butter never hurt.

love & butter is written by Leah, a graduate student living in both Northern and Southern California, and also the writer of Oh hey great.

Sometimes she writes about love, but more often she writes about food. Which usually has a lot of love in it.

She’s also taken to writing about IBS (irritable bowel syndrome, for those who don’t know) (and that’s different from irritable bitch syndrome, which she has on occasion as well), which she’s figuring out how to live with a little better after years of ignoring it. So in these pages you’ll also find discussions of food and recipes that work well with IBS, as well embarrassing and funny tales of, um, tails.

But mostly, Leah is almost always singing, is attempting to ride her bike an awful lot more these days, has more smiles than she knows what to do with, and professes an undying love for Le Marin butter.

The original template was designed by Sunaryo Hadi but was subsequently dismantled and heavily tweaked by some very nice, very patient friends who did not mind me asking 84937 questions and occasionally being on the verge of tears when I couldn’t get something to work and/or thought I deleted my entire site. The header was designed by Tim Schwab. The photo of the Jazz Bunny – the bunny radio in the header, which I usually listen to when I bake and which is usually tuned to KJAZZ – was taken by Conrad.
